Working with Perception Motion Capture

The team here at the Field Hockey Computer Game cannot wait to get our hands on this nifty bit of kit - PERCEPTION NEURON: Motion Capture, VR and VFX which our team member Ben will be receiving as a result of backing their Kickstarter campaign back in September.

We are hoping to use the system to record some amazing motion capture sequences for our goalkeeper and player models.

The system is fully wireless, compact in size, easy to carry, and can be used in both indoors and outdoors, without occlusion or line-of-sight restrictions. With the superior data fusion algorithm and high quality sensors, the system is ideal for capturing not only subtle body motions, but also large dynamic motions such as running, jumping and etc.

Ideally we want to rig up either 2 players or 1 player and a goalkeeper and then get them to play out a particular sequence to capture their realistic movements as the react to each other.

We will be sure to update you as soon as we get our hands on the kit - but feel free to check out their site for more details on what we are expecting.
